About Bush & Bench

Practical Know-How. Real-World Solutions.

Bush & Bench is the home of four practical websites. Together they cover the jobs people tackle themselves: fixing tools and batteries, learning how electrics work, powering a camping setup, and running a home or workshop on solar.

The four areas

Each site keeps to its own subject. A guide lives on the one site where it fits best, rather than being repeated across all four.

How guides are written

The aim is plain, useful guides rather than filler. Technical details are checked against manufacturer documentation and applicable Australian requirements, and the guides explain the method rather than handing out one-size-fits-all numbers.

How the sites make money

Some links on these sites are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links are always disclosed on the page where they appear.

Safety first

Batteries and electrical systems can cause fires and injuries. Follow your equipment manuals, fuse and size cables correctly, and get a licensed electrician or auto electrician to check work you're unsure about. Mains (240V) electrical work in Australia must be done by a licensed electrician.
